Board Member – Call to Action!
Candlelighters is looking for individuals who are willing to dedicate some time and their passion to serve on the Board of Directors. The Candlelighters board sets the mission, vision and tone for the organization and directs their time and resources – or connection to resources – to strategic planning, fundraising and advocacy. The honor of service does come with a bit of work, but a guarantee of meaningful rewards. VOLUNTEER
Interested in helping Candlelighters For Children With Cancer with your community event? We’d love to have your support! Each year, thousands of creative and committed community volunteers like you spearhead innovative fundraising projects and special events to raise vital funding, support and awareness for Candlelighters For Children With Cancer and the many children and families we help.
Beneficiary events include everything from benefit concerts, walking, running and biking events, golf tournaments, auctions, wine tasting, yard sales, Coins for Candlelighters (a great high school fundraising idea), casual Friday’s at your office (pay to wear jeans)… the sky’s the limit. We look forward to partnering with you and making a difference for children with cancer and their families.
COINS FOR CANDLELIGHTERS - Ask your local business or school to sponsor a coin fundraiser. This is a fun, easy way to support our important mission! We provide the collection canisters and labels, and you provide the location.
IT SUPPORT – Are you a good troubleshooter? We can use a little bit of your time.
ACCOUNTING – Are you savvy with numbers and bookkeeping and have time to offer our organization?
PHOTOGRAPHER – Take photos at any of our Candlelighters Family Events and provide us the digital copies afterward.
MARKETING - Do you have skills in communications, graphics, media, or publicity? If so, we need you.
