HOW YOU CAN HELP Current Volunteer Openings • Phone Assistant – Call a list of families who do not have email access, to notify them of upcoming events. Great job to do from home! • Join our Volunteer Email Group List – sign up to receive announcements of various volunteer jobs. Sign up for what you like – ignore what doesn’t interest you! • Outreach Dinner Program at Doernbecher Children’s Hospital – Join our team of volunteers once or twice monthly, hosting dinner to pediatric oncology families at Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. Requirements: Warm & friendly; gentle listener, available the 1st and/or 3rd Wednesday of each month from 5:30–7:30 p.m.; one year commitment; own transportation to and from hospital.• Deliver Toys – from Candlelighters storage unit, to either Doernbecher or Emanuel Children’s Hospitals. This job would be approximately twice a month, and can work around your schedule. • Family-Teen-Mom Events – Assist in planning a fun event for our Family, Teen, or Moms Group. Candlelighters will assist you in your volunteer efforts. We’ll provide you support, ideas, resources, and other volunteers if necessary!
