RIDE FOR A CHILD FUNDRAISER
Ride For A Child (RFAC) is a fundraiser for Candlelighters For Children With Cancer. Every September, RFAC riders participate by riding the Cycle Oregon route. Riders raise funds and awareness for Candlelighters, as well as give support to an Honored Child. Children we honor are representative of the Candlelighters families and are selected in order to put authentic faces on the wide variety of diagnoses and ages of children who battle cancer.
RIDE FOR A CHILD 2012 – IT HAS BEGUN!
Our course is set and our vision is clear as we begin our cycling journey in 2012. On February 7, 2012 Cycle Oregon announced its 25th anniversary route. Ride For A Child will join with 2,200 other riders on what looks to be a spectacular albeit challenging route. Once again we will need to be inspired by our Candlelighters families to reach new heights.
Although this course promises to be challenging it will also take us through some breathtaking scenery. We will begin our ride in Bly, Oregon and travel up to Crater Lake, over the mountain and down to the beautiful city of Ashland. From Ashland, we will head east and visit Klamath Falls and after seven days of riding, return to Bly.
Over the next few months we will be preparing for our new adventure. Our team of riders and support is starting take shape. We will start our long distance training and select our honored children, the heart and soul of our team. We will also set our fundraising goals and reach out to the hundreds of donors that make RFAC such a success. We look forward to partnering with the community to reach our goals and to sharing with you our adventure!

Your will also get to ride with an incredible team that really makes in impact on our children and families.
